Shawn Knights is a lawyer based in St. Catharines, Ontario, focusing his practice on family law, civil litigation, estate litigation, estate planning and real estate.
Shawn obtained his law degree from Osgoode Hall at York University in 2013 where he also completed the Criminal Intensive Program and the Litigation, Dispute Resolution and Administration of Justice curricular stream. Shawn also earned his Specialist Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science from the University of Toronto in 2005.
Called to the Ontario Bar in 2014, Shawn worked as an associate at two different Niagara area law firms and as corporate counsel for a large corporation before starting his own firm, Knights Law Professional Corporation.
Prior to law school, Shawn was a Reserve Commissioned Officer in the Canadian Forces and he worked as a political assistant at Queen’s Park for 8 years.
Shawn is very involved in the Niagara community where he resides with his wife and four children. Shawn is especially involved with his local church, serves as a faith leader in the Niagara community and he has also been a member of the following organizations:
André Lozano is an associate lawyer at Knights Law Professional Corporation.
Called to the Ontario Bar in 2020, André obtained his Police Foundations Diploma at Humber College in 2013, his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) at York University in 2016, and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Windsor in 2019.
After graduation, André articled in a firm in Windsor before joining Knights Law Professional Corporation. He gained a wide range of experience in litigation and solicitor work. André has experience with corporate acquisitions and complex research assignments covering topics such as municipal law, cannabis law, corporate law and non-profit organizations.
André has also owned a landscaping business and worked as a server in multiple restaurants where he developed strong customer relation skills.
During law school, André competed at the National Welsh Family Law Negotiation Competition, where he obtained strong negotiation skills.
André is bilingual, as he speaks English and Spanish. During his spare time, André enjoys hunting, kayak fishing, drumming, investing, hiking, going to the gym, learning about politics and real estate investing, and watching the stock market.
André resides in St. Catharines and is excited to pursue ways to serve his community.
Steven King is an Associate at Knights Law Professional Corporation. Steven’s practice is focussed on civil litigation, employment law, human rights, commercial litigation and family law. He has extensive experience before the Superior Court of Justice and is an effective negotiator.
Upon graduation, Steven articled at a regional full-service firm in Hamilton, Ontario, where he worked closely with the Employment and Commercial Litigation departments.
Outside of his practice, Steven is an accomplished pianist within the Royal Conservatory of Music. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, rock climbing, and is a sports enthusiast.
Steven is an active member of the Ontario Bar Association, where he sits on the Professional Development Committee. He is also a member of the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers.
