Shawn Knights

B.A. (Hons), J.D. | Family and Collaborative Lawyer | Founder

Shawn Knights is the founder of Knights Law Professional Corporation and a family lawyer based in St. Catharines, Ontario.

Called to the Ontario Bar in 2014, Shawn holds a law degree from Osgoode Hall at York University, where he completed the Criminal Intensive Program and the Litigation, Dispute Resolution and Administration of Justice stream. He also holds a Specialist Honours Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from the University of Toronto.

Before founding Knights Law, Shawn worked as an associate at two Niagara area law firms and as corporate counsel for a large corporation. His background extends beyond law — prior to articling, he served as a Reserve Commissioned Officer in the Canadian Forces and spent eight years as a political assistant at Queen’s Park.

Shawn holds specialized training in Collaborative Law and focuses his practice on resolving family matters with clarity and purpose — both inside and outside the courtroom. He understands that family law is rarely just legal. It’s personal. His approach reflects that.

A lifelong Niagara resident, Shawn lives in the community he serves with his wife and four children. He is actively involved in his local church and committed to giving back to the people who call this region home.
