Meet The Team Behind Knights Law
Shawn Knights
Shawn is a family lawyer based in St. Catharines, Ontario. Shawn obtained his law degree from Osgoode Hall at York University in 2013, where he also completed the Criminal Intensive Program and the Litigation, Dispute Resolution and Administration of Justice curricular stream. Shawn also earned a Specialist Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science at the University of Toronto.
Called to the Ontario Bar in 2014, Shawn worked as an associate at two different Niagara area law firms and as corporate counsel for a large corporation before starting his own firm, Knights Law Professional Corporation. Prior to law school, Shawn was a Reserve Commissioned Officer in the Canadian Forces and he worked as a political assistant at Queen’s Park for 8 years.
Shawn is very involved in the Niagara community where he resides with his wife and four children. Shawn is especially involved with his local church and has volunteered for a number of organizations.
Shawn has obtained special training in Collaborative Law and focuses his practice on resolving his client’s family matters outside and inside of the courtroom.
Pragya Kureel
Pragya is a family law lawyer who combines strategic litigation skills with a calm, client‑focused approach to resolving complex personal disputes. Her practice is devoted exclusively to family law, with particular experience in parenting issues, support matters, and property division.
Pragya has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in conferences, motions, and hearings, and brings additional litigation experience from her early legal career in New Delhi. She is known for disciplined preparation, clear analysis, and the ability to translate complex legal issues into practical, forward‑looking solutions.
She holds a Master of Laws from Queen’s University and completed the NCA accreditation process after earning her Juris Doctor with distinction. Beyond her practice, Pragya is an award‑winning author and an active community volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Niagara.
